Naidu Hurls Final Bouncer on Reluctant Farmers

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had clarified that the farmers who have not given their land under the Land Pooling Scheme can not undertake Real Estate in their lands. Naidu clearly stated that such lands will be declared Green Belt and can not be used for any other purposes except for agriculture

Farmers who are holding 1000 acres of such land were saying that they can not give their lands which will have three crops per year. So, Naidu has accepted their view in one way. But then, the actual intention of the farmers is to retain the total land and use them for real estate purposes.

Chandrababu Naidu had countered that with this Green Belt Proposal. Farmers from 29 Villages, 25614 of them have given 32221 acres under the Land Pooling Scheme. They will get about 12000 acres of Developed Plots. These plots are already allotted.

Andhra Pradesh government has this option of going for Land Acquisition but is evading that option to avert unnecessary controversies. It has to be seen if the reluctant farmers will be moved with this proposal and the leftover bits and pieces of land will be given for the smooth construction of the capital.
