Naidu to Pardon Roja?

Assembly Speaker’s office had confirmed the receipt of YSR Congress Nagari MLA, Roja in which she tendered an unconditional apology for her poor behaviour in the house which resulted in a one year suspension. Speaker will be placing the letter in the house and will seek the house’s opinion on the future course of action.

More or less, Leader of the house, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will be taking a decision about Roja’s future as the ruling party has the majority in the house and with that, the decision if or not the suspension will be revoked will be decided. Roja is likely to get a respite if she maintains the tone in the letter.

Roja had used unparliamentary abuses on CM Chandrababu Naidu, Minister Peethala Sujatha and TDP MLA, Anitha. While the other YSR Congress MLAs escaped the cracking of the whip by asking apology to the house, Roja was stubborn and went to the courts. After getting disappointing verdicts, she finally had no choice but to tender an unconditional apology.
