CBN’s Political Career Is Not Cake Walk!!

The dismissal of Chandrababu Naidu‘s quash petition by the AP High Court didn’t come as a surprise to many, but it dealt a significant setback to the TDP. When we reflect on TDP President Chandrababu’s political career since 1978, we see that he has faced numerous challenges, insults, and harassments from his opponents.

Remarkably, he has never spent time in prison during his entire career. While this fact might be new to the current generation, the earlier generation is well aware of CBN’s resilience in the face of difficult situations.

The insults he endured when he lost in 2004 were just one part of his journey. Senior TDP leader Tummala Nageswara Rao criticized CBN, attributing the party’s defeat to his governance. Even when the YSR group subjected him to mockery, it was Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi who brought CBN, one of the senior-most leaders in India, and put an end to it by highlighting that such behavior was inappropriate.

YSR had established 24 inquiry commissions to investigate corruption. When Somasekhara was questioned before one of these commissions, he faced humiliation, with no proper chair or even a lunch break. However, the Congress government failed to prove a single corruption charge against CBN.

In the assembly, YSR’s insults even extended to CBN’s mother. Subsequently, he faced insults from members of TRS and Congress as well. While justice may have been delayed, it is certain that justice will prevail for him and the state.

He may find relief in the Supreme Court, and it’s heartening to see many people expressing their solidarity with CBN for his unjust arrest. When a leader is wrongfully detained, it is natural for people in many states and countries to voluntarily come forward and show their support.
