Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu has called the Pulivendula ZPTC victory “a rewriting of history after 30 years.” Congratulating Maareddy Lata Reddy for her win, Naidu urged Kadapa leaders to highlight the achievement across media and social media platforms.
Naidu stressed that the polls were held in a truly democratic manner, allowing 11 candidates to contest—a rare occurrence in Pulivendula over the past three decades. Sharing a telling anecdote, he revealed that one voter left a note in the ballot box saying they were casting a vote for the first time in 30 years, symbolising the change in the region’s political climate.
The CM directed ministers to talk about Pulivendula’s election to inspire the public, noting that people are now stepping out of what he described as the “tyrannical grip of Jagan Mohan Reddy.” He emphasised that the Pulivendula ZPTC elections set an example of a fair and democratic process.
