Naidu Puts An End to Tirumala Samprokshana Controversy

TTD Board has decided to close Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam from the Public Darshans for a Period of Six Days from August 11th to August 16th for Maha Samprokshna which comes every 12 years. The ritual of ‘Ashta Bandhana Maha Samprokshanam’ of the Lord. will be performed during those days.

There is a wile campaign by the Opposition saying that this is for looting the Temple Wealth. As the campaign got intensified, the Chief Minister suggested the Board to see if the Public can be allowed to the Temple in limited numbers.

TTD is contemplating to allow Pilgrims for specified hours on these days to combat the willful campaign. A final decision will be taken by TTD Board in their next meeting on 20th of this month after consulting with Agama Sastra Pandits.
