Naidu Resorts to Damage Control on Mega Food Park

Andhra Pradesh government had set up a committee with local MLA and District Collector on board to seek public opinion on the Godavari Mega Aqua Food Park coming up at Tundurru village of Bhimavaram Mandal in West Godavari district, following the growing voices against the project and political support to the cause.

The government believes that there are several misconceptions among the public over this and the state government wants to address all of them before going forward. The Chief Minister also asked the officials to submit a report in two to three days on the measures to be taken to control pollution and ensure that they are strictly followed.

On the other side, Leader of the Opposition, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will be visiting the agitating villagers on 19th of this month. Local YSR Congress Leaders and Cadre are already at the ground level setting the mood and stage for the party leader’s visit. West Godavari gave a decisive mandate to TDP in the last election giving it 15 out of 15 seats. Jagan sees this as an opportunity to grab the people on to his side.
