Naidu Shocks Jagan in His Bastion

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is in Opposition Leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Pulivendula Constituency earlier today. The Chief Minister dedicated Gandikota – Chitravati Lift Irrigation Project to the nation. This project will cater to the irrigation needs of Pulivendula.

Local TDP Leaders have taken this tour of Chief Minister prestigiously and made the necessary arrangements. The Outdoor meeting after the inauguration was attended by about 50000 people which is like never before for TDP in the bastion of YS Family.

This response comes as a shock for the Opposition Leader especially after TDP is making its presence felt in Kadapa district in the recent times. Pulivendula is known to be a stronghold of the YSR family. While former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy won three successive elections in 1999, 2004 and 2009, his younger brother, YS Vivekananda Reddy was the elected representative from the constituency for a decade before that. After YSR’s death, his wife Vijayamma, won in the 2011 polls, while his son Jaganmohan Reddy has been the representative since the 2014 elections.
