Social media has become an extremely powerful platform, and it has gained the power to even influence the electoral trends in India. So every leading politician needs to be up-to-date with the social media trends and the narratives.
On that note, we have Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, who has placed special emphasis on the activities that are happening in the social media space.
Naidu reportedly met his cabinet ministers today and focused on an array of topics that are burning up on social media platforms.
The primary discussion was reportedly regarding the recent Singapore trip that was taken by minister Atchannaidu, Anagani Satya Prasad, Vangalapudi Anita and others. Babu reportedly instructed these cabinet ministers to explain their learning experiences from this trip which was apparently an educational one.
This is a crucial development involving debate minister and CM. At one point, there was social media backlash on what was the need for these ministers to travel to Singapore. So there should be adequate justification and deliverable return for the same which must be conveyed to the public.
And then the chief minister reportedly spoke about the social media narratives regarding the petrol and diesel shortage issues in Andhra Pradesh. There was a full-fledged campaign against this as well, mainly from YCP which made the most of occasion.
It is good to see the chief minister discuss in detail about the topics that are trending on social media as this keeps the administration closer to ground reality. The shortcomings will also be identified accordingly.
