Naidu’s Team 2019 Evokes Mixed Response

Too much of emphasis on Caste Equations and Choosing the defected MLAs ensured that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu‘s Cabinet Shuffle disappointed many within the party. Four defected MLAs – Sujay Krishna Ranga Rao, Amarnadh Reddy, Bhuma Akhila Priya and Adinarayana Reddy were included against what TDP used to call unethical when KCR inducted Talasani in his team.

Naidu just lost the moral high ground. In the name of Caste Equations, Nakka Anand Babu and KS Jawahar were inducted in the place of SC Ministers – Ravella Kishore Babu and Peethala Sujatha. Pitani Satyanarayana joined TDP just before the 2019 elections.

TDP cadre in his Achanta constituency says he is a rank opportunist and will be the first to jump the fence in case things do not work in favour of TDP. In the process of all this, Naidu had ignored strong voices like Payyavula Keshav and Dhulipalla Narendra.

Dhulipalla is a five time MLA but could not be accommodated since there are already five Ministers from Kamma Community. However, Naidu picked up the non-performers right and ousted them. Except for Bojjala who was left out on health grounds, the other five are known for their poor performance. Naidu’s Team 2019 evoked Mixed Response for now.
