Naidu's legal counter to Jagan's shallow claims

Leader of Opposition, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was repeatedly claiming that he will be changing the Capital from Amaravati and give back lands to the farmers once he is in Power. The claims may look shallow but to make it impossible, the state government is moving its pawns through the center.

Accordingly, Amaravati will be recognized as the Capital of Andhra Prades by the central government. The Union Home Ministry will be amending the Section 5 of Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act to recognize the Capital of the state.

This amendments are likely to happen in the next Winter session of the Parliament. The subsequent governments can not bypass the legal framework to change the capital as they wish. The center will also notify the exact boundaries of the capital region which can not be changed unless for the expansion of the capital.
