Chandrayaan 3 Lifts Off, Result In 42 Days!

In a major development, ISRO launched Chandrayaan 3 earlier today. This is India’s third mission to the moon and it started off on a successful note today. The aircraft was launched at the Satish Dhawan space Center in Sriharikota in AP.

This comes after Chandrayaan 2 had a failed soft landing on the moon.

Chandrayaan 3 is aimed to have a soft landing on the moon and explore the surface with a rover.

This mission aims to have a soft landing on the moon in 40 days and the result of the same could be out in 42 days. The landing is slated to happen on the 23rd of August.

“Chandrayaan-3 scripts a new chapter in India’s space odyssey. It soars high, elevating the dreams and ambitions of every Indian. This momentous achievement is a testament to our scientists’ relentless dedication. I salute their spirit and ingenuity!” prime minister Modi tweeted following the launch of the mission.

The project is in estimated to have cost Rs 600 crores and this is India’s third attempt to land on the moon and explore the surface.
