Chennai IT staffers pack their bags!

Chennai continues to battle heavy rains as the city got no respite even on Friday. On the other side, IT companies continue to suffer as the mobile and internet connectivity is not resumed and their staffers struggle to come to the offices.

Major companies have started to outsource the critical work to other locations while some companies have made arrangements to send their employees to other locations to work. They have to bear the food, travel and accommodation expenses of such employees but have no option.

They have also brought in staffers in other location to work on Chennai projects for those which are nearing their client deadlines. On the other side, Met department says heavy rains are likely to continue till 7th of this month.
