Chinese help for Amaravati to go high speed

Andhra Pradesh government’s plan to bring high speed rail network in the state’s upcoming capital got a major boost. The primary discussions on the project began and the first step towards that will begin in May. China Railway Engineering Corporation (CREC) has come forward to fund this project.

This network will also connect to the road network of the Capital. A technical committee of CREC will be coming to Amaravati in May and will conduct a feasibility study. CREC is one of the Fortune-500 companies and under took similar projects in 17 countries. There are eight other subsidaries companies under CREC.

Association with CREC will benefit Andhra Pradesh immensely. The state government is planning to connect Andhra Pradesh with Hyderabad, Vishakapatnam and other important cities in the South with this high speed network. However it has to be seen how financial constraints will pan out for the project.
