Many believe that this amendment will push the industry to some ten years behind and will threaten the existence of the industry. The other day, Chiranjeevi also appealed to the government to reconsider the ticket prices in the state. Minister Perni Nani who is overseeing the issue has responded on this issue.
“I have been getting requests from Chiranjeevi garu, producers, heroes, and some exhibitors to reconsider the prices. We may consider it without burdening the audience. CM garu is very busy these days. I did not get time to talk to him. He is the ultimate decision-maker since the portfolio is with him,” Perni Nani said.
The industry folks are fuming at the minister’s casual remarks of ‘CM being busy’ even though the issue has been pending for several months and many rounds of meetings happening. Meanwhile, there is a section in the industry that believes that the issue will not be relieved without legal intervention.
