Colleagues Demand Venkatramireddy’s Resignation

Venkatarami Reddy, President of the Secretariat Employees Association (APSA), is facing significant backlash for his perceived allegiance to the YSRCP rather than his role as a leader representing the interests of secretariat employees.

Social media posts have surfaced, calling for his immediate resignation, along with the resignation of his executive committee members, accusing them of prioritizing political activities over the welfare of the employees. Reddy has been criticized for campaigning on behalf of the YSRCP during the general elections, allegedly using his position in APSA to benefit the previous Jagan government.

His actions have sparked debate over the potential cancellation of APSA’s recognition, as many feel that Reddy has acted more like a political leader than an advocate for employee rights. Now, fellow employees are demanding his resignation, concerned that his political involvement has jeopardized the association’s identity.

Reddy is being accused of neglecting his responsibilities to address employee issues, choosing instead to align with the former government. The TDP government appears to be pressuring him to step down from APSA, signaling a shift that could lead to further action against him.
