Congress gets a breather in Mizoram

Congress Party which is reeling under the pressure of heavy failures in the recently concluded Assembly elections finally gets a breather. The party won majority seats in Mizoram in which counting took place today. Congress already won in 28 seats and is leading in two other places in the 40 seats Assembly. So, finally the assembly elections tally will remain at 4-1 with BJP taking home the advantage to upcoming General elections.

It is also noted that BJP has no base in the North Eastern State. In 2008, Congress won Mizoram throne by bagging 32 seats. So, this will be the second consecutive term. However, Congress party is in no mood to celebrate the victory. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi announced that it is time for retrospection (after failure in four states) and will begin the assessment very soon.
