Congress Gives Bumper Offer To Sharmila

Telangana Congress is set to add a major piece to its arsenal in the state with the addition of YS Sharmila to their ranks.

The stage is set for the merger of Sharmila’s YSRTP in Telangana Congress. She is likely to fly to Delhi in the next couple of days and meet with the Congress high command. This could be the final move before YSRTP becomes a part of Congress.

Apparently, the Congress high command has given a bumper offer to Sharmila while they also declined one of her wishes.

Sharmila is likely to be offered AICC General Secretary post along with the Khammam MP ticket. This is a pretty substantial deal for Sharmila who hadn’t yet shown her zeal in Telangana politics.

Sharmila had been hoping to get her much desired Paleru MLA ticket but that didn’t happen as the Congress declined her request.

Either way, it appears that Sharmila will merge YSRTP in Congress sooner than later. With the Telangana election not too far from now, the deal needs to be closed at the earliest.
