Congress Taking Sasikala’s Side?

With BJP giving a hint of helping O Paneerselvam in Tamil Nadu, Congress seems to be taking the side of Sasikala in this tussle. The Congress government in Karnataka filed an application in Supreme Court seeking the deletion of Jayalalithaa’s name in Disproportionate assets case.

Now, this will lead to a legal issue and Supreme Court may delay its final judgment in the case and may take up Karnataka government’s application before that. Delay in the case is nothing but advantage Sasikala as she can press the Governor to act fast.

The case may be taken up by Supreme Court on Tuesday. Earlier Karnataka High Court had acquitted Jayalalithaa, Sasikala, and others in the case. Upon which the issue reached Supreme Court. The Supreme Court is keeping the verdict in pending since July last year.
