Connectivity to Amaravati takes first step

Andhra Pradesh government had issued the first tender notification for improving the road connectivity to Amaravati, the upcoming capital of the state. The Tender is for the construction of the road from Kanakadurga flyover to Borupalem which will be spanning up to the length of 18.3 Kms. This first phase will cost 240 Crore.

The interested companies should submit their bids in 15 days time and should finish the road work in 9 months. The tender notification for the the second phase work will come out very soon. The second phase has 3.2 Kms of road construction and 1.5 Kms of a new flyover construction.

The government may have to acquire 300 to 400 acres for this road alone and the government is planning to employ land pooling system. Metro Rail will also pass through middle of this road. This road is being called the ‘Seed Access Road’ and it links the Seed Capital area to Vijayawada.
