Corona Crisis Demands Behavioural Change in AP Government

The investment environment in Andhra Pradesh has changed a lot ever since the new Government came to power in Andhra Pradesh. Jagan Government’s 75% Jobs to the Locals and Revisiting of PPAs has got so much bad press to the state and investors are rethinking their plans for Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh Government is focused more on welfare front and so things have not moved much in AP in investments in the last few months. Now, Coronavirus Crisis is going to damage the state’s chances further. Experts are of the opinion that there would be a reduced demand for the next year due to the Crisis.

As a result, many companies are rethinking their new investments and expansion plans. This will be a further blow to Andhra Pradesh’s chances on investments’ front. The only chance for India is that the country may be benefitted from the fact that many countries including the US are keen on isolating China.

They are keen to move their manufacturing units to countries like India, Vietnam, and Bangladesh. “If Jagan’s Government does not change its image, these changes will go to the other states in the country especially since Center favors the BJP ruled states,” Experts say.
