Criminal action on AP CM and Speaker?

High Court Advocate Gopalakrishna Kalanidhi filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in Hyderabad High Court demanding Criminal action on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Speaker, Kodela Siva Prasada Rao. This is for not adhering to the court’s direction of allowing Roja in to Assembly.

The advocate opined that this is equal to contempt of court and criminal proceedings are to be initiated against the CM and Speaker. The court will take up this PIL for hearing tomorrow. It has to be seen what the court decides on this. It may depend on what the court does in the appeal of Assembly Secretary against stay on Roja’s suspension.

YSR Congress MLAs have boycotted today’s Assembly proceedings in support of the Judiciary in this case. YSR Congress Legislative Party meeting is going on in Lotus Pond over the house proceedings and what the court would decide in the case.
