First wicket in Congress following GHMC defeat

The humiliating defeat in Congress already started taking heads in the party. Danam Nagender resigned as Greater Hyderabad Congress President taking moral responsibility for the loss.

Danam was not given GHMC responsibility as he is said to have held talks with TRS. V Hanumantha rao was made the party’s campaign incharge. Danam’s resignation even then can be seen as his distancing from the party.

Danam lambasted the groupism in the party as the reason for the party. Most probably he will end up in TRS very soon but will not have the bargaining power as before the elections. Congress despite being main opposition party, managed to win just 2 divisions out of the total 150.
