Decks Cleared for Telangana’s New Secretariat Construction?

All the decks are cleared for the construction of new secretariat for Telangana Government at the Bison Polo Grounds in Secunderabad. The Telangana High Court has allowed the Central Government to take a decision on the Ground which is currently with the Union Defence Ministry.

The State Government has been trying to get this land for a long time. We are told that the State Government already convinced the Central Government to allow this land with all the legal issues cleared, it is just a formality to get necessary permissions from the Center.

The state is seeking 151 acres from the defense ministry, including 71 acres for the new Secretariat and the balance for two expressways from JBS to Shamirpet and Medchal highway. KCR reiterated that the state of art secretariat will come up there itself and will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister himself. With BJP may be needing TRS help after elections, the Center may not delay it further.
