Decks cleared to get Sakshi in to government fold?

Andhra Pradesh Special Courts Act, 2015 (Andhra Pradesh Act No.16) which is intended to recover the ill-gotten assets of public servants, has got the nod of President of India. This will ensure the state government to take over the attached properties of Opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, including his Sakshi Media House which is under attachment by the Enforcement Directorate.

The Special Courts Act was first brought out in 2006 by Odisha and then Bihar to attach properties of government servants involved in disproportionate assets cases. This act will ensure that the beneficiaries of ill-gotten property or money do not enjoy the property or money during trial.

Chandrababu Naidu on quite a few occasions hinted about government taking over Sakshi media house. This act will make things much easy. However it will be a big trouble for Jagan as Sakshi Media is the only lifeline for the Opposition Leader until now. Already YSR Congress’ popularity graph is hitting all time low.
