Did Modi Intentionally Corner Jagan?

A letter written by State Election Commissioner, N Ramesh Kumar created a sensation in the State Politics. Ramesh came up with severe criticism on Jagan Government and asked the Union Home Ministry to deploy Central Forces for his and his family’s security. There were doubts if the letter was genuine.

Ramesh went to Hyderabad and was completely inaccessible to the media. Meanwhile, Central Forces have arrived at his office in Vijayawada. On the other side, An RTI Reply by Union Home Ministry confirmed that AP State Election Commissioner N Ramesh Kumar indeed wrote a letter seeking Protection by Central Forces.

Interestingly, the reply by the Union Home Ministry came to an RTI activist in just 18 hours. This speed in the Government is something never heard of before. There are speculations if this speed is intentionally and was to corner the Government of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Andhra Pradesh.

On the other hand, the Jagan Government is exploring ways to impeach the State Election Commissioner on the allegations of intentional mudslinging on the Government. The post of state election commissioner is a Constitutional authority with powers of a high court judge. The assembly will pass a resolution and send it to the center to sack him.
