The development comes a day after Vijaysai Reddy was summoned by the ED on January 22. Vijaysai Reddy is an accused-turned-whistle blower in the same case.

Mithun Reddy had earlier spent 71 days in Rajahmundry jail. He was later granted bail with strict conditions by the court.

Investigators allege that Mithun Reddy played a key role in tweaking the liquor policy for massive illicit gains. He is considered one of the important accused in the case.

With huge sums of money involved, the ED summons have come as a major jolt for Mithun Reddy. The action has intensified political and public interest.

There is growing curiosity across Andhra Pradesh over how the case will unfold in the coming days. This is especially due to Vijaysai Reddy’s claim of being a whistle blower.

Political analysts believe that Vijaysai Reddy may reveal details that could prove damaging for YSRCP leaders and supporters allegedly involved in the liquor scam.
