Exit Polls Day: Next Five Years Not Easy for AP

We are hours away from the Exit Poll Results which may give us an indication of how the nation and Andhra Pradesh have voted. Even though National Media Exit Polls are notorious for their incorrect estimations about South, we do not have many options. Lagadapati Rajagopal who despite the recent misfire in Telangana Elections will also give us an idea.

This election is crucial in many ways and the state is in for problems in either way. If Chandrababu Naidu is given another chance, Modi is likely to retain the Power at the Center and we will be witnessing witch-hunting of the highest order which will hamper the growth of Andhra Pradesh.

AP is not safe even if it has voted to Jagan Mohan Reddy. There is an immense pressure on Jagan to change the Capital from Amaravati to Donakonda. If Jagan decides to bite the bullet, it will push Andhra Pradesh five years backward and will complicate things for the financially-ill state.

Jagan already hinted about his reservations with Amaravati. Both the leaders have promised the moon in the name of welfare schemes. Implementing them will burden the state exchequer. So, it is not going to be easy for Andhra Pradesh in any way. Anyways, let us first wait for the people’s verdict.
