Fact: Jagan Could Not Manage 20% Of Chandrababu

Housing for all is one of the Ratnam of YSR Congress’s Nava Ratnalu – the nine promises which have propelled Jagan Mohan Reddy to power. However, it looks like the Government is much behind in this scheme when compared to Chandrababu‘s term in the housing scheme.

Pradhana Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) scheme is intended to ensure housing for all. The central government provides some assistance and the state government adds some more to that and constructs houses for the beneficiaries.

Under the PMAY-U scheme, Chandrababu Naidu Government completed 3,71,370 houses construction between 2015 and 2019. Under the same scheme, YSR Congress Government has only managed to complete only 74,217 houses between 2019 and until now in 2021-22.

That means Jagan has managed only 19.98% of what the Chandrababu Naidu Government managed in its full term. With the bad finances of the state, things are unlikely to be anything better in the coming days.
