Fake WhatsApp -Chennai drowning again!

In a time when Chennai is still reeling from the massive disaster, some messages doing the rounds on social networking site Whatsapp are scaring the people even more. While one message proclaims Chennai being on high alert and the city will drown again in next 72 hours, another claims that NASA has warned India about extreme rainfalls in coming days along with hurricanes.

These messages seem very callous when the people of Chennai after long days of utter disaster woke up to bright sunshine for the day. All that can suggested to the anxiety ridden public is to not go by these unconfirmed messages but see reliable weather forecasting mediums.

The Indian Meteorological Department predicts moderate to heavy rainfalls and a possibility of in Chennai in the next 72 hours while Skymet weather forecasts predicts light to moderate rain on Thursday and Wednesday respectively.
