Farmers Suicides due to 55 years of tyrant Andhra rule – KCR

The heat of increasing farmers suicides is taking a toll on the Telangana government. With the assembly session underway, the government is resorting to damage control. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had written an open letter to the farmers of the state promising them that government will support the agriculture and make it profitable.

KCR stated that Telangana which was achieved after so many sacrifices should not see farmers committing suicides and so requested them to refrain from it and trust the government. The state government had instructed all the district collectors to make sure the letter reaches every house in the villages.

The Chief Minister made a statement in the house that the farmers suicides are due to the 55 years of deceptive ruling under Andhra Pradesh. He stated the house that this problem is not only in Telangana but also in the entire country. He also said that farmers suicides are more even in the neighbouring states too.
