However the apex court dismissed the petition saying that they can not do any thing in these issues as a state was entitled to demand from the Centre what is justifiably due to it. However the bench clarified that the constitution allows a state to demand from the Centre what is justifiably due to it. The bench clarified that the court can not interfere in the issue.

The petitioner alleged that center had failed to implement the statutory promises and assurances given to the people of Telangana at the time of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. The court also opined thar the petitioner has no locus to file this petition as only the state can and state alone shall take action, if necessary. The court clarified that no member of the public can take legal action on such issues.
