Finally, Hyderabad Metro Gets PM’s Nod

It’s official. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the first phase of Hyderabad Metro Rail Project on November 28th. Telangana CMO had extended an invitation on September 6th and finally got a confirmation from PMO.

A message to this effect was conveyed to the Telangana chief minister’s office (CMO) on Saturday. A formal letter from the Prime Minister’s Office intimating the same will be delivered on Monday. There is a delay in accepting the invitation since there are rumours that the inauguration is going to be namesake and lot of works are pending.

The PMO confirmed the appointment after receiving a report from the Union urban development ministry whose team of officials inspected the project in Hyderabad. The 30 km stretch of the metro rail project extending from Nagole to Miyapur will be inaugurated on November 28th.
