Jayalalithaa gets a big relief!

Former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J.Jayalalithaa who was recently jailed after she was convicted in disproportionate assets case, finally managed to get bail from the Supreme Court. The iron lady who was refused bail both by the Special court and Karnataka High court knocked the apex court’s doors for relief. Co-convicts Sasikala, Ilavarasi and Sudhakaran have also been granted conditional bail. The Supreme court had imposed several conditions for bail.

The court asked to promise the accused not to ask for adjournments in court hearings and also clarified to Jayalalithaa that it is her responsibility that her party men remains calm. Jayalalithaa also stated that she will be confining to house for 2-3 months. It is known that 27 September, Special Judge John Michael D’Cunha had convicted Jayalalithaa, sentencing her to four years imprisonment in the disproportionate assets case, and slapped a staggering fine of Rs 100 crore in the corruption case. The other co-convicts were sentenced with four years jail and 10 Crores fine.
