Finally Musi Going to Get Good Days

Tata Projects has come forward to cleanse Musi River which has become a receptacle of untreated domestic and industrial waste dumping out of Hyderabad due to indiscriminate urbanization and lack of planning. Earlier the state government estimated that the cleansing of the river will cost 5000 Crore but Tata Projects has come forward with a proposal of 2900 Crore.

The Company has proposed to the government to take up the project under PPP Model and promised to cleanse Musi and make it beautified River. 95% of the waste water generated in Hyderabad are currently being dumped in Musi. Tata Projects is envisaging a plan to clean this water before letting into the River.

The company has asked the government to give the land beside the river for market cost so that it will be developed as a Real Estate Venture and the money made out of it will be used for the beautification. The company has also asked for some Musi River Package as well. The government is seriously considering this proposal. A decision will be taken very soon if the project has to be give directly to Tata or open tenders will be called for.
