Finally Relief For Rahul Gandhi In ‘Modi’ Case

It is known that Rahul Gandhi had been facing legal consequences for his comment “It is ironic that all the thieves in India have Modi as their last name”. In the defamation case, the lower court sentenced him to 2 years jail time. As a result, his Lok Sabha membership was halted.

But cut to now, in a new development, Rahul can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the Supreme Court has passed a stay order on the lower court’s jail sentence to Rahul.

With the Supreme Court passing the stay order, Rahul’s Lok Sabha membership has been revived and a related order was passed by the Lok Sabha earlier. He is now a parliamentarian again and can set foot in the house.

Rahul is expected to join the Lok Sabha session today and take part in the discussion. Also, he will be an integral vocal part of the no confidence motion passed by the opposition parties on the Modi government.
