Finally, Some Relief To Tollywood From Jagan Govt

The relationship between Andhra Pradesh Government and Tollywood has run into a rough patch. Even though both the parties would not admit it, it looks like the Chief Minister is not happy with the industry and wants to show his ‘power’.

The industry has been lobbying hard to increase the ticket prices which were set at abnormally low levels killing the theater system. The Government is delaying it in the name of tax evasion. The industry is unhappy but helpless at the same time. But then, there seems to be a bit of relief.

Even though the rates issue will not be addressed immediately, sources say that the Government has agreed to allow four shows and 100% occupancy in the theaters starting from October 1st. That means the night curfew which is currently in place will go away from that day.

Sai Dharam Tej’s Republic which will release on October 1st will be the first beneficiary while Naga Chaitanya’s Love Story which will release a week before that will regret missing it out.
