First Ever Government Scheme on KCR’s Name

It is quite common for Chief Ministers to have Welfare Schemes on their names since the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. For some reason, KCR did not have one on his name until now. For the first time, a scheme in Telangana is now named after the Chief Minister.

Every lady after delivery will be given a kit needed for the new mom and newborn. This kit is called ‘KCR Kit’ and an amount of 605 Crore is earmarked in the budget for this purpose. It will have 16 items. Pregnant ladies after their delivery will be given 12000 in three installments.

If the newborn is a girl, an additional 1000 Rupees will be given. A similar scheme is already being implemented by TDP government in Andhra Pradesh. Telangana government is continuing the same but will have more cash reward than what AP government offers.
