First Survey About Janasena; Pawan At Most a Giant Killer

The First Significant Survey about the prospects of Janasena is out. The Poll by VDP Associates specified that Janasena is going to garner 9% Vote Share if elections were to be held today. This is not even half of what Chiranjeevi managed with his Praja Rajyam.

Praja Rajyam back then had 19.196% Vote Share in Seema Andhra (Excluding Telangana, 2009 Elections happened in United AP). That means Pawan Kalyan is not even halfway mark. Needless to say, Janasena Supporters are angry or heartbroken with this Survey.

But what does this mean? 9% will mean a lot if the election is multi-cornered. But if it is like 2009 when Chiranjeevi contested, it will either damage TDP or YSR Congress. Back in 2009, it damaged the Opposition Party i.e., TDP. It need not be the case always.

But then, Andhra Pradesh People were known to give a decisive mandate and usually, a new party promising change will divide the Anti-Government vote. In such case, if all the parties contest independently, it will be a damage to TDP. But then, Janasena has supported TDP in 2014 if this 9% is what he added to the Yellow Party, we should say Chandrababu Naidu is in trouble. In either way, we can conclude Pawan Kalyan may be a Giant Killer at most unless AP will be seeing a coalition government for the first time in the history like what is happening in Karnataka.
