For The First Time, Adv For TDP Courtesy Sharmila

The upcoming elections are very crucial for the Telugu Desam Party. The party is keen on bringing down Jagan Mohan Reddy who went to the extent of jailing Chandrababu Naidu. Ever since the 2009 elections, TDP has been facing a new problem.

Whenever a new entrant comes to Andhra Pradesh Politics, TDP votes are divided and that is becoming counter-productive for the party. Be it with Praja Rajyam and Lok Satta in the 2009 elections or with Janasena in 2019, TDP votes got divided and helped the other parties.

Ever since its inception, the educated and progressive voters are mostly with the Telugu Desam Party. This group is also easily susceptible to Change Politics. Hence the division in votes of TDP and at the same time, these parties never won.

Now for the first time, the Telugu Desam Party may be the beneficiary of a new entrant.

YS Sharmila has entered Andhra Pradesh taking the reins of the Congress party. She is going all out targeting Jagan Mohan Reddy. Unlike the previous occasions, Sharmila will be targeting the SC and Christian voters who are predominantly with Jagan.

So, she will be bringing advantage to the TDP. If she was able to bring Congress to 4-5% Vote Share, it may be the end of the game for Jagan, Political experts believe.
