Fund raiser to stall Amaravathi dream

Green activist Pandalaneni Srimannarayana who is fighting in National Green Tribunal and Supreme Court to stall the construction of Amaravathi is conducting a fund raiser to fund his legal battle. Srimannarayana stated that he so far spent 53 Lakhs to fight the issue and has exhausted all the money with him to fight the cause.

So Srimannarayana is collecting donations for his legal battle through Facebook. He reportedly collected 1,70,000 so far for his fund raiser. Srimannarayana commands huge following of 69000 friends in Facebook. However this has come under the scanner of Income Tax department. They are looking in to his 53 Lakhs expenses.

Also it is said that collecting donations in the name of a petition is illegal. AP government is gearing up to complain about this to National Green Tribunal. Srimannarayana is a 72-year-old retired journalist and political analyst and there are allegations that he is working hand in glove as Leader of Opposition, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
