Guntur MP Galla Jayadev announced withdrawing from Politics citing harassment by the state and central governments. In a press meet, Jayadev reveals how despite contributing 1200 Crore State Tax and 3800 Crore Central Tax, he is subjected to witchhunting by the state departments and central agencies like CBI and ED.
“There are seventy different permissions to be renewed every year and these permissions have become weapons in the hands of the Governments. ED and CBI are tapping my phones. ED had summoned me and interrogated me twice. I came to politics hoping that I can change politics but I can not allow politics to change me,” Jayadev said revealing the hollowness of Indian Politics.
“My hands are tied. I can not fight the state government because of my businesses and can not talk on the Central Government due to political compulsions,” Jayadev added.
Jayadev is an honest politician. He is the one who stirred a sensation across the country with his fiery speech addressing Narendra Modi as ‘Mr Prime Minister’ in the Parliament during the no-confidence motion. He won the second time despite a huge anti-incumbency wave against TDP due to that image.
Jayadev’s Amara Raja is the first big-ticket investment to Andhra Pradesh founded in 1985. Today Amara Raja Group has 18 companies and is a 14,000 Crore Turnover company with 17,000 employees paying 1200 Crore State Tax and 3800 Crore Central Tax. Someone like Jayadev is successfully scared by the state and central governments.
Jayadev exposes YSR Congress and BJP. Both the parties are exposed today. This is an example of how their political ambitions are of paramount importance to them and how they do not even spare big businesses that contribute to the nation building if they come in their way.
In 1985, Galla Rama Chandra Naidu founded Amara Raja in Andhra Pradesh with Tirupati and it has become a multinational company today. Just before Jayadev was a TDP MP, Jagan went after Amara Raja and drove the new investments of the company to Tamil Nadu and Telangana. This is a testimony to Jagan’s tyranny. This is destructive politics displayed by a leader who can not bring a single investment to the state but is decimating the ecosystem.
Besides Jagan, Jayadev also exposed the hollowness of Narendra Modi’s Government. Both Modi and Amit Shah make tall claims of being nationalists, keeping the nation above themselves. But all that is proved nonsense. Just because Jayadev questioned the Central Government ditching Andhra Pradesh, they have unleashed CBI and ED on him.
Amara Raja is not a gully company. It is a company of international repute and this pressmeet of Jayadev will shame the country and will send a very bad impression about India to the investors. If you can not tolerate a homegrown multi-national company, you are ineligible to get any investment.
Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan who are desperate for an alliance with BJP should also open their eyes. If they still believe the BJP will do something to help them in the elections, they are too naive or foolish. If they blame only Jagan and spare Modi and Amit Shah on this issue, they are not doing justice to the kind of politics that is expected from them.
Neutral and educated voters who will be with TDP and Janasena in this election will have these questions in their heads when they go out to vote. Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan should give them a proper answer about why they want the BJP in the alliance.
