Government to apply brakes to rash driving!

Majority of road accidents do occur due to rash driving and it is an indisputable fact. So, government had decided to curb the speed to put brakes on rash driving. According to a new proposal, Government is all set to issue a new directive to vehicle making companies to limit the maximum speed to vehicle to 80kmph. This is regardless of the make, cost and kind of the vehicle. This is being called as ‘Speed Governance’.

It is said that Government is also planning to make it mandatory for old vehicles too. Speed Governance will require special equipment or parts to do the work. Government is planning to make them available in market from March 2014. This Speed Governance proposal first cropped up 6 years ago but due to the ire of several sections of people, government then put it in back burner. With the recent accidents, they are planning to implement it strictly this time.
