Apple AirPods Plant Lands In Telugu State

The Telangana government has been proactive when it comes to attracting foreign and domestic investments in the state. Here’s an interesting update on one of the biggest investments in Telangana thus far.

Foxconn, a tech goods manufacturing giant, which has already signed an agreement with Telangana government is set to hold the ground-breaking ceremony for its plant on the 15th of May, say reports.

Reportedly, the Foxconn manufacturing plant in Kongara Kalyan, will have its ground breaking ceremony on the said date. An official announcement on the same from the company is awaited for now though.

The plant is to be constructed in an area of 186.7 acres in Kongara Kalan and it is one of the biggest investments in the state thus far as the plant is bound to employ over 1 lakh people.

The manufacturing facility is to be designed to manufacture Apple AirPods. It is likely to be the largest such outlay in all of India.

On a related note, Telangana has also welcomed Amara Raja industries in the state which will make investments of around Rs 9500 crores.
