Talasani Srinivas YadavThere’s a talk that YCP has the habit of politicizing every small development in Andhra Pradesh. In accordance, YCP mouthpiece Posani Krishna Murali had recently stated that the previous TDP-led AP government only used to Nandi award to film people from the Kamma community.

Interestingly enough, Telangana cinematography minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav has clarified on the same in his latest interaction with media.

“I don’t think there is caster favoritism in presenting Nandi awards. Our Telangana government wasn’t approached by anyone till now to favor their community while giving film awards.” Talasani said.

The cinematography minister went on to add that the Telangana government plans to roll out its own set of awards for the Telugu filk industry and stated this could come to action from next year.

While YCP always holds something or other against the film industry and uses people like Posani to abuse those against their interests, the Telangana government representative has clarified that they haven’t faced anything as such till now. Then perhaps the AP government’s narrative against a caste group in Tollywood is a planned attack with vested interests.
