Guj Results: Time for Modi – Shah to Shed The Cloak of Invincibility

Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Elections are done and dusted. BJP has conquered Himachal Pradesh quite comfortably as the previous Congress government is marred by lots of corruption allegations including its CM attending ED and CBI every week.

Seeing at the final tally in Gujarat, one can see BJP has won the state comfortably but there are several uncomfortable truths which the saffron party should address if it has to win 2019 General Elections Comfortably. Notes Ban and GST have shown their effect to some extent in the elections.

Urban Voters saved the face of BJP while the dissent in Rural Areas is evident. This is the case with the entire country as well which should be addressed immediately. Congress performed remarkably well in constituencies with Patels in the majority. Reservation Rifts fanned by Congress will be common going further as the grand old party smelt blood in Gujarat.

Its high time Modi and Shah keep their dreams of invincibility aside and work an inclusive formula to win 2019. If things are not easy in Modi’s forte state, Gujarat, it will be even difficulty in the entire country. The fact that the country is in no mood to forgive Congress cannot help BJP forever.
