One news that is making headlines in Telangana right now is about the 2 hour meeting between BRS leaders, Siddipet MLA Harish Rao and BRS working president KTR. They met at Harish Rao’s residence at Kokapet.
Though neither of the two disclosed the details of the meeting, it is being said they discussed matters regarding the present political developments in Telangana. Some BRS insiders say KTR had gone to visit Harish Rao’s father who is unwell.
But the big talk is that KTR wanted to appease Harish Rao, whose prominence within the party has reduced during recent times. During the silver jubilee celebrations, everything was overseen by KTR himself. Since then there are various stories about Harish Rao being sidelined.
There were also strong rumours about Harish Rao joining another party or floating a new party. However, floating a new party may not happen as the elections are 2-3 years away, say political analysts.
The BRS inside sources share that KTR met up with Harish Rao following directions from KCR as KTR, Harish Rao and Kavitha appear to be going their ways instead of working in a coordinated way.
It has to be recollected that Harish Rao pushed aside all talk about joining another party and expressed his eagerness to work under KTR, if he is made BRS chief, just a few days back.
The talk is that KCR will conference with KTR, Kavitha and Harish Rao after Kavitha returns from the US.
