High Court raps 'T' govt once again!

Telangana government had irked Hyderabad high court once again. The high court bench today was serious on the government’s counsel for not filing a counter in the case related to farmers suicides in the state. The court angrily asked if the government is not serious about the issue.

Incidentally this petition was filed by Telangana JAC Chairman Kodandaram. The high court urged the government to immediately advertise in media about the measures taken by the government for the benefit of the farmers, to instill confidence in farmers and prevent their suicides.

Farmers suicides issue had become a serious problem in the states. Telangana is ranked second in the country in terms of farmers suicides and first in the suicides of women farmers. The monsoon failures and Power woes have hit agriculture in the state very badly.
