Hindupur: Jagan’s Desperate Attempt To Defeat Balakrishna

YSR Congress seems confused about taking on Nandamuri Balakrishna in the Hindupur constituency, a TDP bastion. Balakrishna recorded two victories on a trot in the constituency.

The second victory is even more special because Balakrishna is the only TDP leader to improve his majority in Rayalaseema in 2019 even as Chandrababu‘s majority dropped.

YSR Congress fielded Naveen Nischal in 2014 but failed. They brought a minority, Iqbal in 2019 to take on Balakrishna with no luck. Iqbal was made the MLC to make him strong for 2024 but Survey reports are not favorable.

Now there is another change. A BC woman Deepika is brought in to take on Balakrishna in 2024. After all sorts of trials, this is another desperate attempt to defeat Balakrishna.

TDP has won all ten elections in this constituency dominated by BCs. Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao won thrice from here while Harikrishna won once.

Jagan is now banking on BC and woman’s sentiment to break the bastion. But all the surveys coming out so far say Balakrishna is all set for a third time.
