Hyd outscores as the best beating Capital City

Mercer’s Quality of Living Report 2015 had stated that Hyderabad is the best city to live in India. The Nizam’s city was ranked globally at 138 taking in to various living conditions in to consideration. After Hyderabad, Pune is adjudged the best in the country and is ranked 145 globally.

The report says that Hyderabad has become a hub for various international schools and a fine choice of reputable English speaking schools. Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, which is one of the best airports in the World also contributed to improve Hyderabad’s ranking on account of public services.

Interestingly, Hyderabad and Pune are much ahead of other bid cities like Delhi and Mumbai in the rankings. Mumbai and New Delhi ranked at 152 and 154 respectively. The report however says Indian cities did not make much progress on the quality of living scale, scoring nearly the same as they did last year.
