Hyderabad High Court Sits on High Court Division!

Hyderabad High Court is undecided over the appeal of Telangana government regarding the high court division. Earlier, the high court clarified that high court can be divided only when Andhra Pradesh sets up a permanent high court in the new state. They did not allow Telangana government’s offer of temporary accommodation.

Telangana government appealed to relook over the high court division. But then the court today transferred the case to a larger bench consisting of four or five judges. The high court division issue is becoming sentiment issue in Telangana. But AP government is not in a hurry to go for it.

Center which was to intervene and resolve such contentious issues between both the states, is also staying aloof keeping its political interests in both the states safe. We will have to see what the larger bench decides in this issue or it will go further to Supreme Court.
